A little explanation is needed regarding these books. There is hardly anything religious about them.
I was rushed to the Emergency Room three times in 2020 (one trip resulting in a five-day hospital stay), and my wife, along with some friends and family members, told me I needed to slow down on my updating of Spurgeon’s works as they felt it was taking a toll on me.
Our pastor stopped by for a welfare check on us, and I mentioned a public domain novel I had downloaded and offered to send him a digital copy. I realized a little updating would be in order and made some revisions “for today’s readers” before sending it. It was not a big step from there to publish it as an eBook, and later in paperback. Others followed. By the bye, I use the pseudonym [pen name] Reginald Martynique to separate my flights of fancy from my eternally serious work.
These are breaks from my “real” work; the updates are not as thorough or painstaking as our modern English editions of Spurgeon and other Christian writers. Such as they are, I offer these mysteries and thrillers.
